Best Christmas movies on Netflix to watch when you want to do nothing!

It’s Christmas day!! The gifts have been unwrapped, there’s scraps of pretty paper scattered all around the house. You are probably full of so many unnecessary calories, drifting closer and closer to a food coma. As you are teetering on the edge of oblivion on your couch, why not check out a couple of Christmas movies on Netflix. They will keep your kids entertained while you catch a quick nap.

  1. How The Grinch Stole Christmas! A favorite of ours that follows a grumpy hermit that hatches a plan to steal Christmas from the Whos of Whoville. ….. The Grinch hates Christmas and goes to great lengths to cancel it once and for all.
  2. The Nightmare before Christmas It tells the story of Jack Skellington, a resident from “Halloween Town” who stumbles through a portal to “Christmas Town” and decides to celebrate the holiday, with some dastardly and comical consequences.
  3. A Christmas Carol ells the story of a bitter old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformation into a gentler, kindlier man after visitations by the ghosts of the past, present and future.
  4. DreamWorks Happy Holidays for Madagascar. When Santa and his reindeer crash onto Madagascar it’s up to Alex, Marty, Gloria, Melvin, and the penguins to save Christmas.
  5. Jingle all the way! Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in this hilarious comedy as a father desperate to buy that must-have present during a frantic Christmas Eve shopping spree. He has unwittingly promised his young son a Turbo Man action figure for Christmas, unaware it’s the season’s hottest-selling toy.
  6. Miracle on 34th Street. A lawyer and a little girl must prove that a department store Santa claiming to be Santa Claus is the real thing.
  7. Love Actually. This movie delves into different aspects of love as shown through ten separate stories involving a wide variety of individuals, many of whom are shown to be interlinked as their tales progress. Most of the film was filmed on location in London. The story begins five weeks before Christmas and is played out in a weekly countdown until the holiday.
